This piece is the first of 4 in a series of tree and ball moss.
Ball moss are prevalent in Houston where I have my studio.
One can walk anywhere and view ball moss on the Live Oak
trees in Houston. At first I thought they were nests; after
looking closer, I realized they were not. After picking a few
up that had fallen, I started to look closer at these organisms.
The rhythm of lines and shadows created sparked my series
of tree and ball moss showing how they live sybiotically.
